# Check what a wallet holds before you send

Ask your agent what a public wallet holds across chains, or on one chain, before you send funds to it.

Before you send funds to an address, ask your agent what it holds: its total value, its largest token positions, or its balances on one chain. Your agent answers with Zerion and Nansen data.

Holdings show what an address holds. They do not show who controls it or whether it is safe to send to.

## Ask your agent

Copy one request into the agent you already use. Your agent asks you for the address first.

### Zerion: holdings across chains

```text wrap
Ask me for a public wallet address. Then summarize what it holds across all chains: its total value and its largest token positions, with the currency and time of the values.
```

### Nansen: balances on one chain

```text wrap
Ask me for a public wallet address and its chain. Then list the tokens it holds on that chain right now, with their amounts and US dollar values.
```

## What your agent uses

- `flovia_zerion` reads a public wallet's portfolio and token positions from Zerion. Only the address and filters go to Zerion.
- `flovia_endpoints` finds the Nansen endpoint, and `flovia_nansen` fetches the address's current balances from Nansen.

Use a source that appears in your agent's current tool list. A source that is not listed is unavailable. [Data use](/data-use.md) says what each source receives.

## Example reply

The reply below is made up for illustration. Your replies carry your own values.

> The address you gave, across all chains, in US dollars at Zerion's prices as of 09:30 UTC:
>
> - Total value: $12,345.67
> - Largest positions: 2,345.67 USDC ($2,345.67), 1.2345 ETH ($1,234.56)
>
> Data provided by Zerion.
